Valentine baby, cheery, active and bright; small in stature, but mighty at heart, fast as “leichtning”, hard worker, stellar big brother, outdoorsman, musician; had a deep, quiet faith.
Jacob flew on the ice, now he is flying with the angels. A ‘valentine baby’ and a firstborn, Jacob truly was a shining light. From the get-go he was cheery, active and bright. Jacob was filled with talent both athletically and academically. He received the Prince Albert “AAA” Mintos Scholastic Award while playing hockey in Prince Albert last year and graduated as an honor roll student.
On the ice he was known to be small in stature, but mighty at heart. He was fast as ‘leichtning’. ‘Leichter’ was dedicated to giving 110% at all times – all his life, he was commended by others for his work ethic on and off the ice. He was proud to say that his most influential role-model in hockey was his dad, who was his coach for most of his minor hockey years. Together, they won the Midget AA League Championship (the team’s second time) and Provincial Title in 2016. Jacob was also an outdoorsman. He loved to fish, hunt, trap and explore nature. He learned to play the piano and saxophone. He adored his siblings and was a stellar ‘big brother’. He also loved friends and extended family. His giggle, twinkle in his eye, funny antics, sense of humour and ‘chirping’ will forever be missed, but not forgotten. Jacob’s deep, quiet faith will live on through all of us.
